Air India International Flights On February 02 Under Vande Bharat Mission

As Govt. of India extends the ban on international flights till February 28, the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) on 31st Dec announced Phase 9 of its Vande Bharat Mission.

The Govt. of India on May 06, 2020, has started the ‘Vande Bharat Mission’ to repatriate Indians stranded all over the world due to the novel coronavirus pandemic.

Under the Vande Bharat Mission Phase 9, India will operate over 1600 flights from 24 countries which includes Afghanistan, Australia, Bahrain, Bangladesh, Canada, France, Germany, Israel, Italy, Japan, Kenya, Kuwait, Malaysia, Maldives, Myanmar, Nepal, Oman, Philippines, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Sri Lanka, UAE, and the USA.

As per the Ministry of Civil Aviation, 15,542 repatriation flights were operated by the Air India Group under the Vande Bharat Mission till January 30, carrying over 21.01 lakh passengers. Of these, 7,769 were inbound flights carrying 12.49 lakh passengers and 7,773 were outbound flights with 8.51 lakh fliers.
