United Airlines, a prominent player in the aviation industry, has unveiled plans to enhance its connectivity between Delhi and Newark (New York) this coming winter. The airline, which currently operates its sole India route on this trajectory, is set to introduce a notable seasonal upgrade.
This announcement marks a significant development in United Airlines’ operations, especially following the suspension of multiple India routes such as Mumbai-Newark and Delhi-Chicago/San Francisco.
United Airlines Boosts Service Frequency on Key India Route
United Airlines has chosen to amplify its commitment to the Indian market by introducing a noteworthy enhancement in its flight services between Delhi and Newark (New York).
The airline will witness a doubling of flights on this route, transitioning from once-daily to a new twice-daily frequency during the winter season of 2023/24. This strategic move is expected to provide travellers with increased options and flexibility when planning their journeys.
Continued Dependability Amidst Challenging Times
In contrast to certain other carriers that have temporarily suspended India operations, United Airlines has maintained its operational presence in the region. While Delta Airlines is yet to resume India operations since March 2020, American Airlines continues to offer a daily service between Delhi and New York JFK.
Notably, Air India retains its position as the leading nonstop operator between India and the United States.
State-of-the-Art Aircraft for Enhanced Travel Experience
United Airlines has affirmed that the newly introduced flight service between Delhi and Newark will also adhere to the carrier’s commitment to superior travel experiences. The additional flight will be operated using Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft, renowned for their modern design and passenger comfort.
The Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner offers a total of 257 seats, distributed across various classes, including economy, eco plus, premium plus, and business suites.
