3. Asia’s Largest Processing Center

The Hyderabad facility, soon to be fully operational, will handle a whopping 3,500 applications daily. This makes it Asia’s largest visa processing center, further increasing processing capacity and reducing wait times for all applicants.

4. Expanding Consular Presence

The US is committed to making the visa application process more accessible for Indian citizens. To achieve this, they plan to open new consulates in Ahmedabad and Bengaluru.

This expansion will provide more locations for applicants to submit their applications and attend interviews, further streamlining the process.

5. Streamlined Student Visa Process

Students can rejoice! They receive priority scheduling for visa interviews, ensuring they have their visas in hand before their academic year begins. Additionally, free assistance is available through Education USA offices.

This encourages students to file their applications independently and avoid agents, saving them time and money. New regulations for F, M, and J visa categories are also in place to prevent fraud and abuse, ensuring a fair and efficient system for all students.

6. Record Increase in Indian Students Heading to the U.S.

According to the recent Open Doors Report, an impressive 35% increase has been recorded in the number of Indian students heading to the U.S., totaling 2,68,923 in the academic year 2022-23.

Collaboration Opportunities

The strong bilateral relationship between India and the US is further strengthened by the free flow of students and businesses. Consul General Hankey sees immense potential for growth in co-production and co-development between US and Indian firms. This collaboration will foster innovation, create jobs, and benefit both economies.

Conclusion

With all these positive developments, Indian students and visitors can look forward to a smoother and faster journey to the US. The future of travel between the two nations appears bright, with increased collaboration and mutual benefit on the horizon.
