United Arab Emirates (UAE) which had imposed a week-long ban on IndiGo flights on 17th August has now lifted the ban and the airline will resume the flight operations from tonight 2000 UTC.
The airline in a press statement said;
“IndiGo will recommence flight operations between India and UAE from 0130 1ST (2000 UTC) tonight. We have informed all our passengers and any inconvenience caused is regretted.”
It is worth mentioning that UAE has imposed a ban on IndiGo flights until 24th August 2021 for carrying passengers who had not undergone an RT-PCR test at the departure airport.
After the suspension, the airline said that all flights to UAE stand canceled till 24th August due to operational issues.
“We have informed all our passengers and will support them with refunds or accommodation in other flights once we resume operations,” IndiGo further added.

It must be noted that as per the guidelines by UAE Govt, all passengers are required to undergo an RT-PCR test 48 hours before departure and another rapid-PCR test at the airport a few hours before the flight. Moreover, all passengers to UAE are required to take approval from GDFRA or ICA before their travel.
