The Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs, and Ports Security (ICP) offers exemptions from late fines for Emirates ID cards in specific circumstances.

This includes individuals who spent more than three months outside the UAE, those deported or with seized passports, and individuals awaiting UAE citizenship or family book issuance.

  1. Extended Absence: Individuals who spend over three months outside the UAE and whose ID cards expire during this time are exempt.
  2. Deportation or Pending Cases: Those deported or with seized passports due to legal matters are exempt, with proper documentation.
  3. Pre-Nationality Issuance: Individuals without an ID card before acquiring UAE nationality are exempt.

These exemptions provide relief and fairness for individuals facing unique situations regarding their Emirates ID cards.
