Malaysia Digital Arrival Card (MDAC)
The Malaysia Digital Arrival Card (MDAC) is a digital platform for visa-free travellers to submit arrival information online, ensuring a smooth entry process. Except for;
- Those transiting/transferring through Singapore without seeking immigration clearance;
- Malaysia Permanent Resident
- Malaysia Automated Clearance System (MACS) Holder

Malaysia Visa-Free Entry Requirements
To qualify for visa-free entry to Malaysia, Indian passport holders must meet the following criteria:
|Your passport must have at least six (6) months of validity remaining from the date of entry into Malaysia.
|Return Flight Ticket
|You must have a confirmed return flight ticket to depart from Malaysia within the permitted 30-day stay period.
|You must have a confirmed hotel booking for the duration of your stay in Malaysia.
|Proof of Financial Means
|You must demonstrate sufficient financial means to cover your expenses during your stay in Malaysia. This may include bank statements, travel insurance, or cash.
|Malaysia Digital Arrival Card (MDAC)
|You must complete and submit the MDAC online three (3) days before your arrival in Malaysia.
Applying for Malaysia Digital Arrival Card (MDAC)
To apply for the MDAC, follow these steps:
Step 1: Visit the MDAC website
The first step is to visit the Malaysia Digital Arrival Card (MDAC) website at https://imigresen-online.imi.gov.my/mdac/main; This is the official website for the MDAC and the only place where you can submit your application.
Step 2: Click on “Registration”
On the MDAC homepage, you will see a button labeled “Registration”. Click on this button to be taken to the registration page.
Step 3: Enter your personal information
The registration page will ask you to enter your personal information, including your name, passport number, nationality, date of birth, email address, and phone number. Make sure to enter all of your information accurately and completely.
Step 4: Enter your travel information
Next, you will need to enter your travel information, including your flight details, arrival date, departure date, and accommodation details. This information will be used to verify your eligibility for visa-free entry and to help with immigration processing upon your arrival in Malaysia.
Step 5: Review and submit the form
Once you have entered all of the required information, take a few minutes to carefully review the form for accuracy and completeness. If you find any errors, make the necessary corrections before submitting the form. Once you are satisfied with the information, click on the “Submit” button.
Step 6: Receive confirmation email
After you submit the form, you will receive a confirmation email containing your MDAC application details. Keep this email for your records, as you may need to present it to immigration officials upon your arrival in Malaysia.
- Upon arrival in Malaysia, proceed to the Immigration counter and present your passport, return flight ticket, hotel booking confirmation, proof of financial means, and MDAC application confirmation email.
- For first-time arrivals, you will need to enrol your fingerprints and verify your passport at the Immigration counter.
- For Malaysian permanent residents, visit the Immigration website to understand the entry requirements and procedures.
