Thailand Pass: New Applications For ‘Test-Free’ Entry Will Open On April 29

Recently we reported that Thailand has scrapped the Test & Go program and eased travel rules for vaccinated travellers beginning May 1, under the new rules fully vaccinated travellers are no longer required to take a PCR test upon arrival in Thailand, nor are they required to make a one-night hotel reservation.

However, it is still necessary for vaccinated individuals to verify their vaccination status and insurance coverage by registering on Thailand Pass.

New Registration On Thailand Pass

Nightmare scenarios continue in wake of Thailand Pass launch

As the reports surfaced, many travellers attempted to register for the ‘Thailand Pass’ for the Test-Free entry under the new programme, but they were unable to do so since the ‘Date of Arrival’ field does not allow them to enter a date later than April.

We’ve received lots of messages from travellers asking why they can’t register for the ‘Thailand Pass.’

The reason for this is, that Thailand has not yet opened the registration under the ‘Test-Free’ entry program and the same will be opened on April 29.

The Thailand Pass official website revealed that people seeking entry under the simplified rules beginning May 1, 2022, will be able to apply for their Thailand Pass starting April 29, 2022.

Registration on Thailand Pass for travelers entering Thailand from 1 May 2022 under new entry measures will be opened from 29 April 2022 onwards (00.01 hrs Thailand time).

Another positive is that the lengthy Thailand Pass form, which presently requires personal information, vaccination dosages, hotel booking, test booking, and insurance, will be simplified for travellers entering from May 1st, 2022.

The new ‘Thailand Pass’ will only require details of:

  • Passport
