In a concerted effort to bring back around 230 Indian citizens stranded in Israel, the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) has announced the launch of “Operation Ajay.”

This humanitarian mission, prompted by a series of brazen attacks by Hamas militants on Israeli towns over the weekend, aims to facilitate the safe return of Indians who wish to come back home.

Charter Flight Set for Israeli Evacuation

MEA Spokesperson Arindam Bagchi, in a recent statement, confirmed the operation’s commencement. “As announced by EAM yesterday, Operation Ajay has been launched to facilitate the return from Israel of our citizens who wish to come back. The first charter flight is scheduled to reach Tel Aviv later tonight to collect Indian citizens, with the return to India expected tomorrow morning,” Bagchi said.
