Canada Visa: VFS Global Issues Update on Biometric Appointment

In an update for its Canada visa customers on Monday, VFS Global said that applicants who are having trouble booking the Biometric Enrolment and Passport Submission at their nearest Visa Application Centre (VAC) can now do so at any of their VAC globally.

This means, if you cannot find an appointment at your nearest Visa Application Centre, you can choose any VAC and complete the Biometric Enrolment and Passport Submission process.

“Having trouble booking your biometrics appointment at your nearest Visa Application Centre (VAC)? Applicants can provide biometrics at any VAC in our global network. For a full list of VAC locations, please visit our website: https://www.vfsglobal.ca/canada/,” said VFS global in a social media post.

Appointment for Biometric Enrolment & Passport Submission

The VFS Global on its official website also said that additional slots are opened throughout the day to meet the high demand for biometric appointments. These appointments are free of charge and available to individual applicants and authorized representatives.

The VFS also stated that scheduling an appointment with VFS Global to enrol in Biometrics is a complimentary service. Be wary of anyone who demands payment for it.

Please make your appointment using the same name and birth date on your passport or travel document. If the name and date of birth on your appointment letter do not match the name and date of birth on your passport or travel document, the VAC will turn you away.

It is worth noting here that effective Monday, 01st August 2022 applicants can submit their passports (with prior appointment) and collect their decision envelopes (walk-in) from Monday-Friday between 9:00 to 17:00 Hrs. at all Visa Application centres in India.
