Air India, the flagship carrier of India on Wednesday, 08th Sep resumed the direct flight service between Amritsar and Rome under the Vande Bharat Mission.
With this move, Amritsar’s Sri Guru Ram Das Jee International Airport is now connected with three European cities including London and Birmingham.
According to Vipin Kant Seth, Director of Amritsar Airport, a total of 230 passengers took the first flight from Amritsar to Rome on Wednesday.
Air India Amritsar-Rome Flight Schedule
The Air India flight has take off from Amritsar at 3.55 pm on Wednesday and reached Rome’s Fiumicino International Airport the same day.
From Rome, the Air India flight would reach Amritsar on Friday morning at 5.35 am.

Air India has also opened the booking for flights between Hyderabad And London; tickets can be booked through Air India Website, Booking Offices, Call centers & Authorized Travel Agents.
It is worth mentioning here that India has started international flights as much as with 18 countries under the air bubble arrangements in September 2021.
Due to the Covid-19 situation, India has extended the ban on scheduled international flights till 30th Sep 2021 and only special flights under the Air Bubble Arrangements and Vande Baharat Mission are allowed to operate.
