As per the latest information shared by the Ministry of Civil Aviation, India has started international flights as much as with 18 countries under the air bubble arrangements in September 2021.
It must be noted that due to the Covid-19 situation India has extended the ban on scheduled international flights till 30th Sep 2021 and only special flights under the Air Bubble Arrangements and Vande Baharat Mission are allowed to operate.
Air Bubbles Arrangement
“Transport Bubbles” or “Air Bubble Arrangements” are temporary arrangements between two countries aimed at restarting commercial passenger services when regular international flights are suspended as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. They are reciprocal in nature, meaning airlines from both countries enjoy similar benefits.
So far, India has formed air-bubble pacts with around 28 countries, including the US, the UK, the UAE, Kenya, Bhutan, and France. But due to the second wave of Coronavirus in India many countries have put a hold on Air Bubble flights!
Now, as the Covid-19 cases in India continue to declined many countries has started easing restriction on International flights.
Most recently, India resumed flight with Bangladesh on September 3 under the air bubble agreement. The other international cities where passengers can travel in September are:

Vande Bharat Mission
Apart from Air Bubble flights, India is also operating flights to various destinations including Singapore, Tel Aviv, Thailand, Rome, and Saudi Arabia under the Vande Bharat Mission.
The Vande Bharat Mission is helping Indians abroad and till 03rd Sep 2021, Air India group has operated;
- Inbound Flights : 16,344 Inbound Passengers : 2,435,978
- Outbound flights : 16,350 Outbound Passengers : 1,729,731
- Flights till date: 32,694 Passengers till date : 4,165,709
