Air Canada Resumes Direct Flights From India: Flight Schedule, Guidelines Here

Air Canada, the flagship carrier of Canada has resumed its daily direct flight service to Delhi and will also resume flights from India to Canada on September 21, 2021, and onwards, after a four-month-long suspension due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

In a response to a customer’s query on the resumption of flights to India, Air Canada on Twitter said it is resuming flights to Delhi. ”Yes, the route is resuming,” Air Canada replied to a Twitter user.

Air Canada Resumes Direct Flights With India

Air Canada has resumed its direct flight operation with India starting 20th Sep 2021 the airline resumed flying to Delhi and will also resume flights from India to Canada on September 21, 2021

Air Canada has scheduled AC42 and AC43 on the Toronto-Delhi route which is scheduled to be operated all 7 days of the week with a Boeing 787-9 aircraft. Below is the detailed flight schedule of the same;

Moreover, the airline will also resume flights between Vancouver and Delhi starting from 22nd Sep 2021, Air Canada will be AC44 and AC45 all seven days of the week, with a Boeing 787-9 aircraft.

Air Canada’s Testing Requirements For Flights From India

Please note that Air Canada’s requirements for boarding the flight from India to Canada have now changed. The only accepted COVID-19 tests are an RT-PCR test or a rapid PCR test that must be taken no more than 18 hours before your departing Air Canada flight to Canada from the COVID-19 Testing Centre & Lounge across from Terminal 3 at Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi.

Air Canada requires either of these specific tests as no other test from any other clinic within India will be accepted, even if you are connecting from a different city.

You may also be able to travel if you provide proof of a certified positive PCR test result taken between 14 and 180 days before your scheduled departure flight to Canada.
