VietJet Launches Two New Routes Connecting Da Nang with Mumbai and Delhi

VietJet, an international low-cost airline from Vietnam launches two new direct flights connecting the central city of Da Nang with Indian cities namely, Mumbai and Delhi starting October 18.

As per the details shared by the low-cost carrier, it will be operating three flights a week using Airbus A320 on the Mumbai – Da Nang route every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. While on New Delhi – Da Nang route there will be four flights a week every Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday.

Nguyen Trung Khanh, chairman of the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism, said new flight routes between Vietnam and India will significantly boost bilateral economic and cultural exchanges, particularly in the travel and tourism sectors.

The launch of flights between Da Nang and New Delhi and Mumbai will greatly help Da Nang in achieving its goal of becoming a quality tourism and service hub, as well as an innovative destination in Vietnam and Southeast Asia, by 2030, he said.

Khanh emphasised that India is a potential market for Vietnam tourism, with long stays and high visitor spending.

Da Nang will host a ceremony on October 19 to welcome the first flight from New Delhi, which will follow another from Mumbai, which arrived in the city in early October.

VietJet Air also plans to launch a direct flight between Da Nang and Ahmedabad in December.
