Benefits for Applicants
The new agreement between VFS Global and the Swedish Ministry of Justice is expected to provide a number of benefits for Swedish visa applicants, including:
- A more convenient and efficient visa application process, with applicants able to submit their applications at VFS Global VACs in 37 countries around the world.
- Increased access to visa application support services, such as document submission assistance and visa status check services.
- Enhanced communication and transparency throughout the visa application process.
Smoother Visa Application Process in India
In India, Sweden visa applications have been seamlessly processed through eight VFS Global Visa Application Centers (VAC) located in major cities, including Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Mumbai, New Delhi, and Pune.
Since 2019, VFS Global has successfully processed approximately 500,000 visa applications for the Government of Sweden, contributing to a hassle-free application experience for Indian travellers.

Enhanced Accessibility for Bangladeshi Applicants
Notably, applicants from Bangladesh can submit their visa applications to Sweden at the VFS Global visa application centre in Dhaka from Sunday to Thursday, between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m.
