VFS Global, an outsourcing and technology services company for governments and diplomatic missions has recently issued an update on India Passport and Visa Services Centre in Adelaide, Brisbane, Canberra, Sydney and Melbourne.
The VFS in a social media post said, “We have an important update on the resumption of services at our India Passport & Visa Services Centre in Melbourne, Australia.”
Effective 1 March 2022, our India Passport & Visa Services Centre in Melbourne will resume operations with safety measures in place, strictly by appointment only.
Owing to our physical distancing measures, only a limited number of customers will be accommodated. Please check our website www.vfsglobal.com or the Embassy/ Consulate website for further updates.

In the detailed update issues on VFS’s official website, it shared all the information on the resumption of Indian visa and passport services across Australia, VSF said that;
Update On India Passport, Visa Services Centre In Australia
- VFS Global’s India Passport and Visa Services Centre in Sydney has reopened from 21st February 2022 and will be accepting applications by appointment only.
- VFS Global’s Our India Passport and Visa Services Centre in Melbourne will reopen from Tuesday, 1st March 2022 and will be accepting applications by appointment only.
- VFS Global’s India Passport and Visa Services Centre in Adelaide will reopen from 3rd February 2022 and will be accepting applications by appointment only.
- VFS Global’s have temporarily suspended operations at their India Passport and Visa Services Centre in Canberra from 14th January 2022 until further notice, owing to COVID-19 positive cases.
- India Passport and Visa Services Centre in Brisbane is temporarily closed until further notice due to severe weather conditions.
The VFS in its update also said that all appointments that have been booked effectively this date stand cancelled and only postal applications are accepted for processing.
