VBM Phase 7: Air India To Operate 4 Additional Flights Between India And China

The Indian Embassy in Beijing on Monday announced that Air India will operate 4 additional flights between India and China under Phase 7 of the Vande Bharat Mission.

In the updated schedule of VBM Phase 7, Air India scheduled 4 flights between Delhi, India, and Wuhan, the Chinese city from where COVID-19 emerged late last year.

“Government of India is facilitating strand. Indian nationals abroad to return to India under Vande Bharat Mission on compelling grounds in a phased manner. As part of this process, Air India is planning to operate four flights to Delhi on 13th Nov, 20th Nov, 27th Nov, and 04. Dec 2020 respectively.” The embassy said in a press release.

Passage on this flight would be made available on a payment basis as per fares to be decided by Air India. The journey would be subject to an undertaking to be provided by individual passengers to abide by all protocols framed by the Government of India.

Indian nationals and eligible OCI cardholders, who wish to travel on this flight to Delhi must register at the Embassy/Consulates as per jurisdiction by furnishing the following information: Name, Age, Gender, Passport Number, Profession, Domicile State in India, Compelling reason for repatriation, Address (M India and China) and Mobile Phone numbers, both Chinese and Indian.

Those, who had registered earlier for repatriation, but could not travel by previous VBM flights, are requested to re-register themselves by sending the above-mentioned information.

For any information/assistance, the Embassy in Beijing and CGI offices in Shanghai and Guangzhou may be contacted by email at their respective email IDs. The government of India has also decided to facilitate persons, who are stranded in India and desirous to travel abroad urgently for various purposes.
