VFS Global, an outsourcing and technology services company also known as “Visa Facilitation Services Global” issued an update for Canada visa applicants in India on Wednesday addressing changes in walk-in service at their Visa application centres.
Update On Walk-in Services At VFS Visa Application Centres
According to the announcement made by VFS on its official Twitter account;
“On Saturday, 2 July 2022, in-person passport submission and collection of decision envelopes will be available only at our Mumbai, Chennai and Pune Visa Application Centres from 9AM to 2PM. All other visa application centres will remain closed on 2 July 2022.
Appointments are not required for walk-ins.”

The VFS on its website also stated that effective Saturday, 9th July 2022 applicants can submit their passports and collect their decision envelopes in person between 9:00 to 14:00 Hrs. at all Visa Application Centres in India. And it will not require any appointments for walk-in services on Saturdays.
VFS Walk-In Services On Saturdays
It must be noted that starting on June 18, VFS Global enabled India-based Canada Visa applicants to submit their passports and collect their decision envelopes in person only on Saturdays at the VACs in Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chandigarh, New Delhi, and Jalandhar.
It further said that Visa Application Centres (VACs) will only be operational on Saturdays for passport submission and decision envelope collecting. On Saturdays, the VAC will be open from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m.
The Saturday service, according to VFS, is only for applicants who did not purchase the 2-way courier service.
It is important to note that travel agents and representatives are not able to submit passports or collect DEs until further notice. Applicants may continue to use the two-way courier service for passport submission and DE collection on weekdays.
