UAE Introduces Smart App to Extend Visit Visa Validity

The UAE has launched a smart app to extend the validity of visit visas by one month, making the renewal process hassle-free. Additionally, Dubai has resumed issuing ninety-day visit visas and reintroduced the three-month visit visa option.

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has launched a convenient facility allowing visitors to extend the validity of their visit visa by one month (30 days) through a user-friendly smart app.

This new service, announced by the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs & Port Security (ICP) of the UAE, aims to simplify the visa renewal process for travellers.

Renewal Process Made Easy with UAEICP App

The UAEICP app now provides a hassle-free solution for visitors wishing to extend their stay in the UAE. To avail themselves of this service, individuals must possess an original entry permit and a coloured photograph.

It is important to note that the applicant’s passport must have a minimum validity of six months. A renewal fee of UAE Dirhams 750 applies to this service.

To extend your stay in the UAE, you will need the following documents:

1. Original entry permit
2. Colour photograph
3. Passport with a validity of at least six months
4. Payment of the renewal fee (UAE Dirhams 750)

Reintroduction of 90-Day Visit Visa

In a recent development, the UAE has resumed issuing 90-Day visit visas, providing a much-needed boost for residents in Dubai who wish to invite their friends and family to the country.

The 90-day visit visa is particularly popular among friends and family members of UAE residents, as well as job seekers. This renewed service allows visitors to extend their visas for the same duration without having to exit the country.

These visas are available for durations of forty-eight hours, ninety-four hours, as well as thirty, sixty, and ninety days. Moreover, there is a multiple-entry tourist visa option, valid for up to five years. To apply for any of these visas, individuals can utilize the GDRFA website, the UAEICP smart app, or visit Amer Centers.
