As you may already know that last week the Health Ministry of India issued a revised guidelines for international arrivals and allowed quarantine-free travel to citizens of 99 countries that recognize Indian Covid-19 vaccine certificates.
The latest guidelines introduced by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare on November 12 stated that;
“Countries that recognize Indian vaccine certificates, and there are terms of reciprocity, India has allowed quarantine-free travel to their citizens.”
However, the revised health ministry has advised arriving passengers to self-monitor their health for the 14 days after arrival in India.
Requirements of Travel for Fully Vaccinated Travelers
- Travelers from these countries have to submit a self-declaration of their fully vaccinated status on the Air Suvidha portal.
- They also have to produce a negative RT-PCR test report, not older than 72 hours.
- The passengers also need to submit a declaration related to the authenticity of the RT-PCR report and “will be liable to criminal prosecution, if found otherwise,” the notification stated.
