SpiceJet Expands Winter Flight Network with 44 New Flights

SpiceJet is gearing up for the winter season with a major network expansion. They're adding 44 new flights, introducing 8 Boeing 737s, and connecting various Indian cities.

In a significant development to fortify its network for the upcoming winter schedule, SpiceJet, a prominent Indian airline, has unveiled plans to add 44 additional flights that will cater to both new and established routes.

In addition to this extensive expansion, the airline has recently integrated eight Boeing 737 aircraft into its fleet, including four 737 Max planes.

Opening New Routes

Shillong, the capital of the northeastern Indian state of Meghalaya, is set to be connected to Kolkata for the very first time via SpiceJet’s network. This addition signifies a vital step in bolstering connectivity to remote regions. Daily flights between these two cities will soon be available to passengers.

Furthermore, SpiceJet is making strategic moves to enhance the connectivity between several key cities. The airline’s officials have announced their intention to improve the travel links between:

  • Chennai and Pune
  • Hyderabad and Kolkata
  • Jaipur and Delhi

SpiceJet’s Maiden Flight: Mumbai to Bangkok

Another remarkable development by SpiceJet is the introduction of a daily flight connecting the financial hub of India, Mumbai, with the vibrant city of Bangkok.

This service, designated as SG 81, will depart from Mumbai at 4:10 a.m. and arrive in Bangkok at 10:10 a.m. (local time). On the return journey, SG 82 will take off from Bangkok at 10:40 p.m. (local time) and land in Mumbai at 2:10 a.m.

SpiceJet’s Commitment to Passenger Convenience

Shilpa Bhatia, the Chief Commercial Officer of SpiceJet, expressed her enthusiasm about these expansions, saying, “We are excited to enhance our network and add 44 flights to our winter schedule. This expansion allows us to better serve the increasing passenger demand across the country. Flights have been carefully selected with a strong focus on passenger convenience, providing them with a wider range of travel options.”

With the addition of these new flights and the incorporation of Boeing 737s into its fleet, SpiceJet aims to provide travellers with improved access to various destinations and a more diverse range of travel options during the winter season. This strategic expansion reinforces the airline’s commitment to meeting the evolving needs of its passengers.
