The Karnataka Govt on Thursday in an order said that all passengers from Kerala will now require to show either an RT-PCR negative report or a Covid-19 vaccination certificate of at least one dose to enter the state.
“Negative RT-PCR certificate not older than 72 hours shall be compulsorily produced by the passengers coming to Karnataka by flight, bus, train, taxi, personal transport, etc. This will also be applicable for all the flights originating from Kerala to Karnataka,” the order stated.
The state govt has also directed all the airlines to issue boarding passes only to passengers who carry a negative RT-PCR certificate not older than 72 hours.
The announcement comes after few cases of the Delta Plus variant have been reported in some districts of Kerala.
The Karnataka Govt on June 28th issued a similar order for all passengers traveling from Maharashtra and directed them to furnish RT-PCR negative reports not older than 72 hours and a vaccination certificate of at least one dose administered, for permission to enter the state.
