IndiGo To Start Direct Flights Between Delhi And Port Blair Starting Jan 09: Check Flight Schedule, Guidelines

Leading low-cost airline IndiGo on Thursday announced that it will commence direct flight operation between India and Port Blair starting from 09 January 2022.

As per the details shared by the airline Delhi-Port Blair flights will operate four times a week.

Sanjay Kumar, Chief Strategy and Revenue Officer, IndiGo said, We are pleased to strengthen our domestic presence and recommence operations between Delhi-Port Blair.” These flights will enhance connectivity and promote tourism, trade, and commerce on the island, he mentioned.

Guidelines For Passengers Travelling To Port Blair

All Incoming passengers aged 2 years and above arriving shall have to mandatorily carry RT-PCR negative test report issued from ICMR approved lab, subject to the condition that RT-PCR test should have been taken within 48 hours. RT-PCR timeline starts from the swab collection time.

In addition to the above, all incoming passengers who have a foreign travel history in the last 30days, all unvaccinated and partially vaccinated shall also undergo RT-PCR test upon arrival free of cost and will have to self-isolate themselves till the result is received.

Quarantine Rules

1. All passengers shall be required to undergo mandatory home or institutional quarantine till result of their on arrival test is released
2. If any passenger tests positive will be sent for institutional quarantine for further treatment.
