Dubai Airport Disrupted: Emirates Suspends Departures!

Travellers flying in or out of Dubai brace for delays and cancellations as Dubai Airport grapples with disruptions caused by severe weather challenges. Emirates, the major Dubai-based airline, has added to the travel woes by suspending all departures from the airport until further notice.

Dubai Airport Travel Advisory

Amid the weather conditions, Dubai International Airport (DXB) has issued a travel advisory urging passengers to hold off on their trips unless necessary.

“We strongly advise passengers to check directly with their airlines to confirm flight status before coming to the airport,” said a spokesperson for Dubai Airports. “Due to the challenging road conditions, reaching the airport and departing after arrival might also be difficult.”

Emirates Airline Suspends Departures

Adding to the travel woes, Emirates Airlines has announced the suspension of all departure procedures from Dubai between 8:00 AM on Wednesday, April 17th, and midnight on April 18th. However, arrivals and transit procedures will continue as usual.

“The safety and comfort of our passengers is our top priority,” said an Emirates spokesperson. “This temporary suspension is necessary due to the operational challenges caused by the weather.”

Dubai customers with flights scheduled for today (17 April) are advised not to go to @DXB, as check-in remains suspended for all flights. Your safety is our top priority.
