Delhi Airport Issues Important Advisory for Travellers as IMD Issues Red Alert

Due to the heavy fog in the area, the Delhi airport has informed travellers of flight delays and diversions. There is “dense to very dense fog” in the area, the India Meteorological Department has warned in a red alert.

The fog at the airport caused about 100 flights to be delayed or diverted between Monday and Tuesday.

When the minimum temperature falls 4.5 degrees below normal or drops to 4 degrees or less, the IMD classifies it as a “cold wave.” On Thursday, the minimum temperature is predicted to be 3 degrees Celsius and the maximum temperature to be 17 degrees.
