Canada – Latest PNP Draws

This latest round of PNP draws saw British Columbia welcoming tech talent, Manitoba opening doors to diverse skills, Saskatchewan targeting in-demand jobs, and PEI inviting healthcare, construction, and food processing professionals.

1. British Columbia

On December 19th, British Columbia (BC) rolled out the red carpet for tech talent, inviting 107 skilled workers and international graduates with tech occupations to apply for provincial nomination.

This targeted draw, requiring a minimum score of 95, reflects the province’s growing demand for skilled individuals in fields like software development, cybersecurity, and data analytics.

The British Columbia further extended invitations to a range of professions:

  • Construction: 32 candidates with a minimum score of 75.
  • Healthcare: 29 candidates with a minimum score of 60.
  • Early Childhood Education: 62 educators/assistants with a minimum score of 60.

2. Manitoba

Manitoba’s Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) unfolded a three-part draw series between December 21 and 29. Manitoba invited a total of 1,456 candidates across three December draws, demonstrating the province’s commitment to attracting skilled workers from various backgrounds.

  • December 21st: 1,113 candidates with a minimum score of 601 (general draw).
  • December 28th:
    • 160 Skilled Workers with close relatives in the province (minimum score: 612).
    • 67 International Education candidates.
    • 27 Skilled Workers Overseas (minimum score: 698).
  • December 29th: 89 candidates meeting criteria under Special Measures for Ukraine, qualifying as Skilled Workers Overseas with close relatives in Manitoba.

3. Saskatchewan

Saskatchewan re-entered the Provincial Nominee Program scene with its first draw since October 23, held on December 27. A total of 63 candidates were invited in two categories: 48 in Occupations-in-Demand and 15 in Express Entry.

In both draws, candidates needed to meet a minimum score of 69 and possess Educational Credential Assessments.

  • Occupations-in-Demand: 48 candidates with a minimum score of 69 and Educational Credential Assessments (ECAs).
  • Express Entry: 15 candidates with a minimum score of 69 and ECAs.

4. Prince Edward Island

Prince Edward Island (PEI) invited 26 candidates from its Labour and Express Entry streams, specifically targeting individuals in critical sectors like healthcare, construction, and food processing.

Notably, three candidates with a minimum score of 92 were also invited from the Business Work Permit Entrepreneur category, highlighting PEI’s interest in attracting and supporting business growth through immigration.
