Akasa Air, India’s youngest airline, is spreading its wings to the holy city of Ayodhya, commencing daily flights from February 15th, 2024.

This move marks a significant step in enhancing connectivity for pilgrims and travellers, bridging the gap between Ayodhya and the bustling hubs of Pune and Delhi.

Connecting Ayodhya to Two Major Hubs

“The city of Ayodhya holds immense spiritual, religious, and cultural significance,” stated Praveen Iyer, Co-Founder and Chief Commercial Officer of Akasa Air.

“By connecting it to Delhi and Pune, we aim to provide ease of access while bolstering economic growth, trade, and regional development.”

Convenient Flight Timings for Daytime Travel

Passengers can look forward to convenient flight timings, catering to daytime travel during peak hours. Akasa Air flight QP 1607 will depart Pune at 8:50 AM, reaching Delhi at 10:55 AM.

After a brief stopover, the flight will take off again from Delhi at 11:35 AM and land in Ayodhya at 12:55 PM. The return leg, Akasa Air QP 1608, will depart Ayodhya at 1:35 PM, arriving in Delhi at 3:05 PM and concluding the trip in Pune at 5:50 PM.

Helicopter services are set to begin by the end of January, connecting Ayodhya with Gorakhpur, Varanasi, Lucknow, Prayagraj, Mathura, and Agra. Fares range from Rs. 3,539 for a 15-minute aerial darshan of Ayodhya to Rs. 35,399 for a 135-minute flight from Mathura or Agra.
