Air India to Resume Delhi-Amsterdam Flight Effective Dec 17

Overcoming temporary slot constraints, the airline is set to operate four weekly flights, promising passengers a seamless experience aboard the Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner. Marking a strategic move to meet growing demand, Air India resumes services on December 17th.

In a significant development, Tata Group-owned fill-service carrier, Air India is gearing up to recommence its its four-times-a-week flights from Delhi (DEL) to Amsterdam (AMS), effective December 17, 2023.

The development follows the recent relaxation of slot restrictions by the Dutch government, paving the way for increased connectivity between the two bustling cities.

It is important to mention here that a temporary hiatus prompted by slot constraints at Amsterdam Schiphol Airport (AMS) has forced Air India to halt its flight operation to Amsterdam temporarily.

Air India will deploy its Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner aircraft for the Delhi-Amsterdam route. The aircraft has a two-class configuration with 256 seats, including 238 in economy class and 18 in business class.

Service Temporarily Suspended in October 2023

Air India’s New International Destinations

Recently, Air India has broadened its global reach by adding four new international destinations including Phuket, Ho Chi Minh City, Boston, and Los Angeles. This expansion will bring the airline’s international network to approximately 40 destinations, with additional flight frequencies to Australia and Europe also on the horizon.

As Air India resumes its flights, the Tata Group reiterates its commitment to providing enhanced connectivity and a world-class travel experience for passengers.

The decision to resume services underscores the airline’s dedication to meeting the growing demand on the Delhi to Amsterdam route, especially as the holiday season approaches.
