Beginning on December 15, 2023, Air India will offer non-stop flights between Mumbai and Melbourne, setting a remarkable milestone in air travel. The airline will operate these flights three times a week, offering passengers unmatched convenience and connectivity.

Air India has strategically designed this route to cater to passengers from 17 major Indian cities, offering convenient one-stop connections to and from Melbourne through Delhi or Mumbai. Furthermore, this new route will facilitate seamless two-way connectivity between London Heathrow and Melbourne via Delhi and Mumbai.

Air India’s Mumbai-Melbourne flights will be operated using the Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner aircraft, known for its comfort and efficiency. The Business Class cabins feature 18 flat beds, while the Economy Class offers 238 spacious seats.
Nipun Aggarwal, Chief Commercial and Transformation Officer at Air India expressed enthusiasm about this new venture, stating

Air India, which currently operates daily flights to Melbourne and Sydney from its Delhi hub, will now be flying between India and Australia 28 times every week, cementing its position as a key player in this sector.
