Air India, India’s flag carrier airline, has announced an expansion in its international flight operations under the winter schedule, increasing frequency on five prominent routes from Delhi to Newark, Milan, San Francisco, Washington Dulles and Copenhagen starting from November 24, 2023.
These enhancements are set to provide travellers with more flexibility and options for their journeys. The revised schedules will come into effect between late November and mid-December.
1. Delhi to Newark
Air India will increase the frequency of the Delhi to Newark route from 3X to 4X weekly starting from November 27, 2023. The new schedule will include flights on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday. This move is expected to cater to the growing demand for travel between the Indian capital and the bustling city of Newark in the United States.
2. Delhi to Milan
The Delhi to Milan route will see a significant increase in flights, going from 4X to 5X weekly, starting from December 12, 2023. The revised schedule will operate on Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday. This expansion aims to offer more convenient travel options for passengers looking to explore the fashion and culture capital of Italy.
3. Delhi to San Francisco
Air India is enhancing its Delhi to San Francisco route, increasing the frequency from 10X to 11X weekly, beginning on November 24, 2023. Passengers can now enjoy twice-daily flights on Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, and a single daily flight on all other days of the week. This adjustment caters to the strong demand for travel between the bustling Indian capital and the vibrant city by the bay.
4. Delhi to Washington Dulles
The Delhi to Washington Dulles route is set to see an increased frequency from 3X to 4X weekly, starting from November 28, 2023. Flights will be available on Sunday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday. This development aims to provide passengers with more options for travelling to the political and cultural hub of the United States.
5. Delhi to Copenhagen
Air India’s Delhi to Copenhagen route will also see an increase in frequency, going from 3X to 4X weekly, starting from December 16, 2023. Flights will be available on Sunday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday. This adjustment is expected to serve passengers travelling between the vibrant Indian capital and the picturesque capital of Denmark.
The increased frequencies on these routes are expected to meet the growing demand for travel between India and these key destinations. Air India is also offering a variety of discounts and promotional fares on these routes to celebrate the increased frequencies.
30 New Planes In Next 6 Months
In the coming six months, Air India has ambitious plans for growth, which include the induction of over 30 new aircraft, the addition of more than 400 weekly services, and the commencement of operations to four previously unexplored international destinations.
As part of these strategic initiatives, the airline, owned by the Tata Group, is set to expand its global footprint in regions spanning North America, Europe, and Southeast Asia.
