Low-cost carrier Air India Express has announced the schedule of flights being operated between India and Bahrain in the month of November under the air bubble arrangements.
India has created an air travel arrangement with Bahrain. Air India/Air India Express and Gulf Air are now permitted to operate services between India and Bahrain
This comes as phase 7 of India’s Vande Bharat Mission – the repatriation mission India had launched for stranded citizens and expats during the pandemic – is set to end on 25th October.
As per the schedule posted by the airline on its website, Air India Express will operate 13 flights in the month of November which connect Bahrain to Trivandrum, Kochi, Kozhikode, Kannur, Trichy, and Trivandrum.

As per the air bubble agreement between India and Bahrain the following categories of persons can travel to Bahrain on the above-mentioned flights:
From India to Bahrain
- Bahraini nationals/residents;
- Any Indian national holding any type of valid visa from the Kingdom of Bahrain and destined for Bahrain only. It would be for the airlines concerned to ensure that there is no travel restriction for Indian nationals to enter Bahrain with the particular visa category before the issue of ticket/ boarding pass to the Indian passenger.

The following category of persons are allowed to travel From Bahrain to India
- Indian nationals stranded in Bahrain
- All Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) cardholders holding Bahraini passports; and
- Bahraini nationals (including diplomats) holding valid visas issued by an Indian Mission in any category covered under Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA)Â guidelines dated 30.06.2020Â as amended from time to time.
Air India Express has also opened the bookings of these flights and tickets for the same can be booked through the official website of Air India Express, Call Centre, City office, and authorized travel agents.
