Air India Express Announces Flights Between Oman and 7 Indian Cities Under Summer Schedule

Air India Express, a wholly owned subsidiary of Air India, announced its summer schedule for Oman on Thursday, saying it will operate flights to/from seven Indian cities beginning March 26, 2023.

According to the airline’s announcement, it will operate flights between Muscat, Oman, and seven Indian cities: Kozhikode, Hyderabad, Kochi, Thiruvananthapuram, Mangalore, Trichy, and Kannur. Air India Express, on the other hand, will connect Salalah with Kozhikode and Kochi.

According to the airline’s flight schedule, it will operate daily service between Muscat and Kozhikode, Kochi, and Thiruvananthapuram.

Every Thursday, Air India Express will operate a weekly flight between Muscat and Trichy. It has two weekly flights between Muscat and Hyderabad on Tuesdays and Saturdays.

Similarly, IX operates three weekly flights between Muscat and Mangalore on Monday, Thursday, and Saturday, as well as four weekly flights between Muscat and Kannur on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Saturday.

In addition to Muscat, Air India Express has scheduled flights to/from Salalah, the provincial capital of Dhofar in southern Oman.  It will operate one weekly service from Kozhikode and Kochi every Thursday and Saturday.

Air India Express has begun accepting bookings for the above-mentioned flights, and tickets can be purchased through the airline’s official website, mobile app, travel agents, online travel portals, and airline offices.

IATA Summer Schedule 2023

According to the International Air Transport Association (IATA), the Summer schedule starts on the last Sunday of March and ends on the last Saturday of October. Airlines increase flight frequency to popular destinations and may add new routes. The summer schedule is implemented to cater to the increased demand for travel during the warm months of the year.

The summer schedule for the year 2023, according to IATA will begin on March 26th and will end on October 28th, 2023.
