In a bid to ease the travel woes caused by winter fog, Air India, a part of the Tata Group, has unveiled an enhanced version of its FogCare initiative.

The airline has announced that passengers travelling to and from Delhi Airport during the winter season will now have the flexibility to reschedule or cancel their bookings at no additional cost if their flights are anticipated to be impacted by major fog delays.

Reschedule or Cancel, Hassle-Free

According to a press release issued by the airline, if your flight gets caught in the foggy web, Air India allows you to reschedule or cancel your booking at no additional cost. This customer-centric approach aims to minimize inconvenience and provide flexibility during unforeseen delays.

Officials from the airline have emphasized their commitment to minimizing inconvenience for affected travellers by offering hassle-free options to reschedule or cancel their tickets without incurring any extra charges.

Minimizing Disruption, Maximizing Satisfaction

“The FogCare initiative is a sincere effort to minimize inconvenience to guests whose flights are likely to get affected by fog,” explains Rajesh Dogra, Chief Customer Experience Officer at Air India. “It will also help maintain network schedule integrity.”

Fog Blanket Delays Flights

In the wake of the announcement, Delhi witnessed a blanket of dense to very dense fog on Wednesday, leading to a significant drop in visibility across the city to less than 50 meters. The adverse weather conditions have resulted in the delay of more than 40 flights, affecting both domestic and international travel.

The disruptions include delays in eight international departures, four international arrivals, 22 domestic departures, and five domestic arrivals. Passengers are urged to stay informed about the latest developments and take advantage of Air India’s FogCare initiative to manage their travel plans more effectively during the challenging winter season.

Navigating Foggy Skies with FogCare

As the winter sun struggles to pierce the fog, Air India’s FogCare stands tall, offering passengers assurance and flexibility. With proactive assistance and hassle-free rescheduling options, Air India promises to make even the foggiest days a little brighter for its customers.
