New Delhi Authorities on Wednesday issued a show-cause notice to Indian full-service carriers like Air India and Vistara for not following the guidelines for international arrivals issued by the Centre Govt. amid the concern of Omicron variant of coronavirus.
As per the notice issued by Delhi authorities, a total of 4 international passengers 1 in Air India and 3 from Vistara, were allowed to board international flights to India without filling their self-declaration forms (SDF).
It is worth mentioning here that the Ministry of Civil Aviation and Ministry (MoCA) Govt of India has mandated contactless self-declaration at Air Suvidha Portal for all passengers arriving in India.
All airlines operating in India are instructed to allow only those international passengers to board their flights who have filled up their personal details on the Air Suvidha portal and uploaded the negative RT-PCR test report.
The Vasant Vihar sub-divisional magistrate under the New Delhi district has asked the deputy general manager of Air India and the airport manager of Vistara to respond to the show-cause notices within 24 hours “without fail”.
“Non-compliance shall be viewed seriously, and it would be presumed that the station manager has nothing to say in the matter and action as deemed fit shall be initiated as per relevant provisions of the Disaster Management Act, 2005; Section 188 of IPC and other applicable laws,” read the notice.
