International Experience Canada Program

The International Experience Canada (IEC) program, tailored for foreign nationals of as many as 30 countries aged 18 to 35, facilitates work and travel experiences in Canada.

Participants are granted a work permit or visa valid for up to two years, allowing them to immerse themselves in diverse cultures, work environments, and global landscapes.

3 Pathways for Seamless Work and Travel

Participants of IEC are granted the flexibility of travelling and working in Canada for up to 2 years. Within this timeframe, you can choose from three distinctive work and travel experiences:

1. Working Holiday: Unbound by employer restrictions, explore Canada’s diverse landscape while discovering fulfilling seasonal jobs in various sectors. This open work permit grants you the freedom to work and travel at your own pace.

2. Young Professionals: Secure an employer-specific work permit and delve into professional development opportunities in your field. Gain valuable real-world experience and expand your network within your chosen industry.

3. International Co-op (Internship): Dive deep into your academic discipline through a challenging and rewarding internship with a Canadian company. Enhance your professional skills, gain industry insights, and build your network under expert guidance.
