Vistara to Resume Direct Flights Between Mumbai and Colombo Starting March 01

Vistara, an Indian airline, announced on Wednesday that it will be resuming its daily direct flights between Mumbai and Colombo, the capital and largest city of Sri Lanka, starting on March 1, 2023.

The decision to reintroduce this route follows a hiatus of nearly three years, as the airline had to suspend these direct flights due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

This will give passengers looking to travel between the two cities more options, and it shows the airline’s commitment to expanding its reach and offering more destinations to its customers.

According to the flight schedule posted on Vistara’s official website, the airline will operate UK 131 from Mumbai, departing at 09:25. The flight is scheduled to arrive at Colombo’s Bandaranaike International Airport at 12:00.

The same aircraft will then depart from Colombo at 13:00, and is expected to arrive back at Mumbai Airport at 15:25. Detailed schedule of these flights will be as follow;

Commenting on the resumption of Mumbai-Colombo flights Vistara on its official flight said;

“The new feeling is all set to spread to Colombo, once again! We are excited to be flying to the ocean city of Colombo, with direct flights from Mumbai! The round-trip all-inclusive fares for Mumbai-Colombo-Mumbai start at INR 21999 and Colombo-Mumbai-Colombo start at LKR 89999.”

Vistara Expands its Presence in Gulf

Vistara recently expanded its presence in the Gulf region by launching nonstop flights between Mumbai and Dammam, as well as daily flights between Mumbai and Muscat. As a result, Dammam has become the airline’s fifth Gulf destination.

According to the airline, passenger volume and demand from Gulf countries have been steadily increasing.
