Notably, Vistara began flying to London from Delhi in 2020 as part of the International Air Bubble Agreement between India and the United Kingdom, deploying Boeing 787-9 aircraft.
However, because of recent Covid-19 outbreaks, Vistara was forced to cancel the Delhi-London flight.
Vistara began flying again and till 26th March 2022, it was operating the Delhi – London Heathrow flight and return (UK17/UK18) five times a week.

According to a Vistara official, demand has been robust across the whole network, particularly on long-haul routes, and the airline is looking for ways to further serve its customers by adding new direct flights.
Vinod Kannan, the Chief Executive Officer of Vistara said;
“Within the next two years, Vistara plans to expand international flights from 25% to 35%. It currently serves over 45 locations, with international flights accounting for over a quarter of its total capacity.“
Vistara is currently waiting for 4 Boeing 787 Dreamliners to arrive. However, due to quality-control difficulties, foreign exports have been halted since May 2021. Vistara may be able to lease some additional Boeing 787s in the near future to accommodate for their current capacity shortage. However, no final decision has been made.
