Vistara, an Indian full-service carrier on Saturday said that it will increase the frequency of flights to Frankfurt And Paris starting October 30.
The announcement comes after the airline leased a Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner, which will allow it to increase the number of flights to Frankfurt and Paris.
Vistara’s Flights To Frankfurt And Paris
Vistara is currently operating three weekly services between Delhi-Frankfurt and two weekly flights on the Delhi-Paris route. It will double up the frequency of its to Frankfurt and Paris this winter after receiving the new Boeing 787 on lease.
However, it is unclear when the plane will be delivered to the Indian airline.
“We are happy to announce the addition of yet another Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner to our fleet. Enjoy increased connections to Paris and Frankfurt from Delhi, combined with the comfort and care of flying with us!,” said Vistara in a Tweet.

Vistara in a press statement said;
“Vistara gears up to receive its third Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft which has been leased recently. Starting October 30, 2022, Vistara will operate six weekly flights between Delhi and Frankfurt, up from the current three weekly. Connectivity between Delhi and Paris goes up from twice to five times weekly.”
Vistara has also made these additional flights on Delhi-Frankfurt and Delhi-Paris available for booking across all channels.
Lease of Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner
It’s important to mention that this is Vistara’s first lease of a Dreamliner. The Indian full-service carrier already has two Dreamliner aircraft in its fleet, which it purchased from Boeing.
Vistara was forced to lease the plane because Boeing has not delivered four additional Dreamliner planes to it in two years. The US aviation regulator, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), wants Boeing to make changes to the Dreamliner production line before restarting deliveries.
Vistara ordered six Dreamliners in 2018 but has only received two from Boeing. The second plane is scheduled to arrive in August 2020. It has been waiting for the other Dreamliners to arrive since then in order to expand its international flight operations.
The Dreamliner is a wide-body aircraft with a larger fuel tank that can easily operate on long-distance international routes.
More International Flights Ahead
Vistara may also increase the frequency of some international routes, including Delhi-London and Mumbai-Singapore, to daily flights.
Notably, starting August 02 the airline has already launched its nonstop flights between Mumbai and Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, which were first announced in early June.
Vistara also introduces a new route to its international network with a direct connection between Mumbai and Bangkok, beginning on August 5, 2022, with five weekly flights.
