VisitBritain And OTOAI Conduct UK Visa Workshop At British High Commission

OTOAI and VisitBritain recently organized a VISA workshop in New Delhi to discuss the current processes and timelines for VISA issuance. The event was attended by members of the association and the travel media, and featured a presentation by Tishtar Parakh from VisitBritain.

The Outbound Tour Operators Association of India (OTOAI) in association with VisitBritain held a VISA workshop at the British High Commission in New Delhi on April 20, 2023. The workshop was attended by around 25 members of the association and members of the travel media.

The delegates were welcomed by Deputy High Commissioner Christina Scott, and a comprehensive product presentation was made by Tishtar Parakh from the VisitBritain team. The workshop was also graced by the presence of Shuja Bin Mehdi and Vishal Bhatia.

During the event, George Farrell, Regional Manager-UKVI (South and South East Asia) explained the current processes and timelines for VISA issuance.

He stated that the endeavour was to keep appointment availability within five days and to issue and close applications within a maximum of 15 working days during the coming peak travel months.

Riaz Munshi, President, of OTOAI, emphasized the importance of such workshops, saying that they help create a positive exchange among stakeholders, highlight issues, and find solutions, thereby building a bond of mutual trust.

The workshop proved to be a fruitful event for all attendees, and it is expected to further strengthen the association between OTOAI and VisitBritain.
