VFS Global has announced that it will begin accepting UK Visa applications at its Coimbatore centre starting from August 16, 2022.

The decision to open a UK Visa application centre in Coimbatore comes after the UK Embassy suffers from a visa backlog and delays. Recently, Britain’s High Commissioner to India, Alex Ellis, “apologised” for the visa delays and advised people not to book flights until they received their visas.

It should be noted that VFS is currently accepting UK visa applications at 16 Indian locations, including Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chandigarh, Chennai, Cochin, Coimbatore, Goa, Gurgaon, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Jalandhar, Kolkata, Mumbai, New Delhi, and Pune.

Priority Visa Services
Recently, VFS Global has also restarted the priority services for new customers applying to the sponsored work routes (including global talent) and for students beginning August 12.
The Priority and Super Priority services for new study and work, which were previously suspended, have been restored; however, the PV and SPV for Family Visa remain suspended.
