Vande Bharat Mission: Air India International Flights on September 5

The Govt. of India has started the ‘Vande Bharat Mission’ on May 6 to repatriate Indians stranded all over the world due to the novel coronavirus pandemic.
On 28th August, the Ministry of External Affairs has announced that Phase 6 of the Vande Bharat Mission will begin from September 1, to repatriate Indians stranded abroad due to the coronavirus pandemic.
“Phase 6 of Vande Bharat Mission scheduled to begin on September 1, based on an assessment of demand by our missions abroad, flights are being rescheduled by Air India group and private carriers,” Mr. Srivastava said at the weekly virtual briefing.
According to the Ministry of Civil Aviation (MoCA), 4,563 repatriation flights were operated by the Air India Group under the Vande Bharat Mission till September 3, carrying over 6.05 lakh passengers. Of these, 2,284 were inbound flights carrying 4.08 lakh passengers and 2,279 were outbound flights with 1.97 lakh fliers.
