Vande Bharat Mission: Air India International Flights On 22 August

The Govt. of India has started the ‘Vande Bharat Mission’ on May 6 to repatriate stranded Indian from all over the world due to the novel coronavirus pandemic.
The Ministry of Civil Aviation (MoCA), Govt of India has started flight operations to a number of countries from August 1 till month-end under the phase 5 of Vande Bharat Mission.
Vande Bharat Mission is currently in its 5th phase, during which around 500 international flights and 130 domestic feeder flights have been operated. The flights have brought back stranded Indians from 22 countries to 23 airports across the country.
As of August 19, a total of 1.12 million stranded Indians have been repatriated by different modes under Vande Bharat Mission, external affairs ministry spokesperson Anurag Srivastava told a weekly news briefing on Thursday.
