US Expands Visa Interview Waiver: Faster Processing for Eligible Applicants
The US has introduced a new visa interview waiver update, making it easier for eligible applicants to secure their visas without in-person interviews. This change streamlines the process, reduces wait times, and benefits diplomatic officials and visa renewal applicants.

The United States has announced a significant update to its visa application process, making it easier and faster for many travellers. Effective February 18, 2025, certain applicants may now be eligible to skip the in-person visa interview, saving valuable time and reducing stress.
This update supersedes the previous update from December 21, 2023, and marks a positive shift for those seeking to visit the United States.
