US Embassy Issues Update For Indians Who Applied For US Student Visa

The Embassy of the United States (US) in New Delhi, India has issued an update for Indian students who had applied for their interviews.

The embassy in the update said that it will continue the interview process for those with had received the confirmed appointments. The embassy also said that it has already interviewed a record number of Indian students for the winter season between 01 Oct 2021 to 15th January 2022.

US High Commission further added that currently, it has no plan to cancel previously scheduled student appointments.

“The U.S. Embassy and Consulates in India have already interviewed a record number of students for the winter student season (October 1 to January 15) and we are continuing to interview those with confirmed appointments.” Said US Embassy in a series of Tweets.

However, they continue to monitor the rapid spread of COVID-19 across India and the latest health and safety guidelines issued by the CDC and the Government of India.

In the interests of the health and safety of visa applicants and our team, we will not be opening additional in-person student appointments for the month of January. We thank all prospective applicants for their continued patience & understanding during these unprecedented times.
