A Boeing 737 Ukrainian plane carrying 180 passengers and crew crashed shortly after takeoff from Imam Khomeini Airport in Tehran early Wednesday local time, Iran’s semi-official news agency ISNA reported.
The Ukranian Airlines plane crashes due to technical difficulties, according to ISNA.
The reports said the suspected cause of the crash was mechanical issues.
Iranian officials confirmed that all 180 onboard passengers were killed in the Ukrainian Airlines plane that crashed near Tehran.
