The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has expanded its visa-on-arrival program for Indian citizens, adding six new eligible countries. This move aims to enhance tourism, attract skilled professionals, and strengthen the UAE’s position as a global hub for travellers and expatriates.
What is UAE’s Visa-On-Arrival?
The UAE offers a visa-on-arrival facility to eligible travellers, allowing them to enter the country without obtaining a visa in advance. This program simplifies entry for visitors and professionals, making travel more convenient.
Previously, Indian nationals were eligible for a visa-on-arrival only if they held a valid visa, residence permit, or Green Card from the United States, the United Kingdom, or European Union countries.
New Expansion: Additional Eligible Countries
Starting February 13, 2025, Indian citizens holding ordinary passports and valid visas, Residence Permits, or Green Cards from the following new countries will also be eligible for a visa-on-arrival at all UAE entry points:
