Indian low-cost carrier Air India Express on Saturday issues a travel update for passengers traveling from the UAE to India and informed that passengers who have taken both the doses of Covid-19 vaccines in India are exempted from taking RT-PCR tests prior to their departure to India.
This new relaxation of pre-departure testing comes after India scrapped seven-day mandatory home quarantine for passengers arriving from 87 countries including Australia, Canada, Hong Kong, Maldives, New Zealand, Netherlands, Qatar, Singapore, Switzerland, UK, and the USA.
However, they are still required to upload the Covid-19 Vaccination certificate issued by Indian Authorities on Air Suvidha Portal.

Those who have completed their Covid-19 vaccinated in UAE are still required to undergo an RT-PCR test prior to their departure.
All other passengers should carry a negative Covid-19 RT-PCR certificate and upload the same on the Air Suvidha portal, The test should have been conducted within 72 hours prior to the scheduled time of departure.
Moreover, all travelers planning to travel to India should submit complete and factual information in a self-declaration form on the online Air Suvidha Portal before the scheduled travel, including the last 14 days of travel details.
It must be noted that those who are failing to comply with the above-mentioned guidelines will be denied boarding.
