Thailand Visa | Travelers From 18 Countries Can Now Apply For eVisa On Arrival Through VFS Global


VFS Global, a popular outsourcing and technology services company on Tuesday in a notice for its Thailand Visa customers announced that travelers from 18 countries can now apply for their Thailand eVisa on Arrival through their official website.

The announcement comes after Thailand has reopened its quarantine free travel program ‘Thailand Pass’ for new ‘Test & Go’ applications starting 01st Feb 2022.

It is worth mentioning that all fully vaccinated travelers from any country around the world can apply for a TEST & GO Thailand Pass up to 60 days in advance.

Thailand has reopened Bang Lamung, Pattaya, Si Racha, Si Chang, and Sattahip – only Na Jomtien and Bang Saray – in Chon Buri, and Ko Chang in Trat as Sandbox destinations for quarantine free travel.

Currently, Thailand’s eVisa on Arrival is available for travelers from the 18 nationals. It must be noted that the applicant should have been residing in the eligible countries for at least 21 consecutive days.

How to apply for Thailand eVisa On Arrival?

Thailand visa customers who wish to apply for eVisa On Arrival can apply for the same by following 3 simple steps;


Provide the Application details and upload the necessary Documents

You can submit your application through the VFS website. The first step of the E-VOA application is to register on the website. Provide all the requested information and upload the necessary documents. If you are minor, it may be necessary to upload additional documents.

Pay the fee online

After providing all the required information, you will have to make the fee payment through the Payment gateway. You can pay the fees using a MasterCard, Visa card, Union Pays credit/debit card, or WeChat or Alipay. It is not necessary for the card to be under your name. Make sure that your card has a “3D Secure System” and is enabled to make international transactions.

Download the E-VOA receipt

If the fee payment is successful, and your application is processed with a pre-approved E-VOA code, you will receive a .pdf file with the decision. You could download and print your E-VOA for your reference. We also recommend that you keep a copy of the .pdf file on your mobile phone.

Thailand eVisa On Arrival Fees

The fee payment is the last step of your application process after submitting your details and the other mandatory documents. The E-VOA fees to be paid for Visitor Visa would be (non – refundable online processing fee, inclusive of all charges) as follows:

  • Regular Visa fee: 2000 THB
  • Regular Service fee: 500 THB

Thailand E-VOA Express-Visa Service

You can also apply for an express service, to get your E-VOA even faster. By paying an additional fee, you can get your E-VOA decision within 24 hours to help you travel at short notice to Thailand.

  • Express Visa fee: 2000 THB*
  • Express Service fee: 2500 THB

Documents Required For Appling Thailand eVisa On Arrival?

If you are applying for the Thailand eVisa On Arrival, you have to upload the following documents:

  • Departure and Return Airline tickets
  • Confirmed booking of stay – Hotel stay

The processing time of the E-VOA is usually between 24 – 72 hours. If your application has exceeded five business days but if you have opted for express visa service, the E-VOA will be processed within 24 hours.
