Thai Embassy In Delhi To Resume Visa And Consular Services From January 31


The Royal Thai Embassy on Tuesday announced that it will resume the Visa and Consular services in New Delhi, India starting from 31st Jan 2022. Now, the embassy will again start accepting the Visa application through VFS Global and BLS International.

The announcement comes with the easing of the Covid-19 situation in the National Capital Territory (NCT) of New Delhi, India.

It is worth mentioning that due to the sharp rise in COVID-19 cases in Delhi and curfew measures announced by the state govt, the embassy has temporally closed the Visa and Consular Section on 09th Jan 2022.

Resumption of Visa and Consular Services

The Royal Thai Embassy in an official announcement said;


In view of the decline in the number of COVID-19 cases in and within the proximity of the NCT of Delhi, Visa and Consular services at the Royal Thai Embassy will resume on 31 January 2022. Necessary appointments can be sought from +91 92053 96169 during official hours.

Application for Visas can be submitted through VFS Global and BLS International. Vide earlier notice dated 7 January 2022, visa processes can take up to 10 working days.

Thailand To Reopen For Quarantine Free Travel From Feb 01

The Govt of Thailand on Thursday announced the resumption of the ‘Quarantine Free Travel’ program for Pattaya and Ko Chang effective from 1 February 2022, from 09.00 Hrs. Thailand time.

The announcement comes after Thailand’s Centre for COVID-19 Situation Administration (CCSA) today approved the resumption of the Exemption from Quarantine ‘Test & Go’ entry scheme.


Starting from 01st February 2022, Thailand will reopen Bang Lamung, Pattaya, Si Racha, Si Chang, and Sattahip – only Na Jomtien and Bang Saray – in Chon Buri, and Ko Chang in Trat as Sandbox destinations.
