Somon Air to start Delhi-Dushanbe Non-Stop Flights from Dec 1

Somon Air, the national air carrier of Tajikistan, has appointed Bird Travels Private Ltd, the Airline Management Services arm of Bird group, as its local representative in India. The airline is going to start operations on Delhi-Dushanbe route, Tajikistan on December 1, 2019, with two flights per week.

The non-stop flight between New Delhi and Dushanbe is going to be around two and a half hours of duration. The flight schedule and fares are already filed in the GDS. To date, the airline has successfully operated regular flights from Tajikistan to 22 destinations and is currently going to increase its footprint.

“Somon Air is happy to announce the inauguration of the flight from Dushanbe to Delhi and back. This operation can additionally strengthen the relations between Tajikistan and India, and contribute to the development of the trade and the economy between these two countries, including the transit potential and the tourism industry of Tajikistan. The Republic of Tajikistan has committed successive few years for further development of tourism in Tajikistan. In turn, with the opening of this route, Tajik citizens will have the chance to fly non-stop to incredible India, a country rich in history and culture. With this new route to Delhi, Somon Air expands its network and the flight to Delhi is going to be the twenty-third destination to which the airline is operating”, Abdulkosim Valiev, commercial Director, Somon Air said.
