Singapore Airlines, the flag carrier airline of Singapore has announced that it will be extending the validity of flight credits and the Global Travel Waiver Policy from 30 June 2022 to 31 December 2022.

The announcement is made in an effort to offer greater flexibility in planning, booking, and travelling, as well as to allow SIA customers to enjoy the full value of eligible tickets.

Singapore Airlines introduced flight credits in April 2020 to give customers peace of mind during the uncertain times of the Covid-19 pandemic as part of their Global Travel Waiver Policy.

Extension of Flight Credits to 31 December 2022

Customers who purchased an SIA or SilkAir ticket on or before 15 March 2020, for travel up to 31 March 2021, can retain the full value of the unused portion of their tickets as flight credits. These can be used to book their new travel up till 31 December 2022.

This gives customers the flexibility to plan, book and travel from now until then. We will also waive no-show and rebooking fees, allowing customers to truly enjoy the full value of their flight credits.

If you need to change your flight and purchased your ticket prior to 31 May 2022, you will be covered by our complimentary rebooking policy2. No rebooking fee will apply when you change your flight, although a fare difference may be charged.

Any unused value of eligible tickets shall not be refundable if SIA receives the request for a refund on or after 01 Jan 2023. Please note that all other existing eligibility criteria3 remain unchanged.
